Self-Reflection

My Business Professional Journey: Good and bad lessons

After I graduated with a degree in Law I applied for a job at one of the local Bank in Phnom Penh for an operational position. The good lesson is, that I managed to do well, and in 2008, I moved to the legal department. The bad lesson for me, was when I became responsible for legal tasks, this was difficult for me, as my English skills were quite limited, and a lot of responsibilities. At that time, I struggled and lacked communication.

In my evaluation, I note that I have been employed since 2007, which reflects my commitment and loyalty to the company. Over the years, I have accumulated significant experience in the banking sector, particularly in legal matters and as a company secretary. However, a negative in bad lesson is I have spent less time with my family.

Overall, I have analyzed my role as an executive management, in a good lesson is that I actively participate in shaping the company strategy. While I have achieve success, I recognize myself that need improve my professional expertise.

In conclusion, to improve my professional development, decided to pursue further education and enrolled in the MBA program at the American University of Phnom Penh. My commitment to enhancing skills and achieving my long-term goals. At the same time, I have dedicated a significant lot of time to study hard.

My further plan is to take the opportunity after graduated MBA and improve my knowledge and job competitive.

Key points:

  • Recognized that I have long-term working commitment and experience in the field of legal in the banking sector

  • I actively participated involved the company and discussed the strategy.

  • As my English languages need to improve for communication after I graduated in AUPP.

  • As I spendmuch time at work, I need more time management between work and personal time.
